Picture Project Cancelled
I know I am giving up (or have already for that matter), but I just don't have time to do the picture a day for 365 days. With working full-time, the only time I have during the week to get a decent picture is either while Aiden is eating, taking a bath, or getting ready for bed, and those pictures just don't vary much from day to day. As for any other interesting posts, maybe I'll get back into it this weekend, I've just been tired this week.

#14 & #15 (of 365)
I still can't stay on track with this!
#14: Making noises with our food
Aiden loves to have some ice cream every now and then (after he eats a good dinner, Staci :)). He has started making noises with his food which I remember doing all too well and also remember it driving my mom crazy too!

#15: New Hair Cut

We decided that Aiden was turning into shaggy dog, so he got a quick hair cut from mom and dad tonight.

#9-#13 (of 365)
Wow, this daily photo thing is much harder than I thought it would be. It isn't always hard to get the picture taken, it's just hard to get the pictures posted! So, once again I am a little behind.
Photo #11: The big clock at Union Station. Aiden loves to go to the train station. We went last Sunday to see the big holiday train display one more time, but instead were disappointed to find out that it was already taken down. Aiden told me I couldn't take any pictures of him that day, so I took one of the clock tower instead.
Beecham Christmas - Final Holiday Post
I know this is very late, but I am finally on my last holiday post in reverse order!
The Saturday before Christmas we went to Dan and Jill's for the Beecham Christmas. It was so nice to see everyone: Pepa, Mema, Dan (papa), Jill (mema), The Mills': Judy, Roy, Stacey, Cody, Rachelle, and John. We had lots of yummy food and played some fun games. Thank you to the Mills' for introducing us to Guitar Hero. I think Aiden enjoyed it the most! And the girls' team rocked at Pictionary!! It was so nice to get together with everyone, and start off our holiday whirlwind! Enjoy some pictures:

#8: Buzz & Slinky

Aiden LOVES Buzz Light Year. His mema Glenda got it for him for his birthday. Yesterday Shannon got him the Slinky dog. Here is the conversation Aiden and I had yesterday:
Aiden: Mommy, I got Slinky dog today. Daddy surprised me. (or purrised me as Aiden says it)
Aiden: We need to make Slinky dog talk like Buzz talks.
Amy: Slinky dog can't talk like Buzz talks, he's not that fancy.
Aiden: Well, we will have to get a fancy one, and then get a Woody too.
Amy: Where are we going to get a Woody toy?
Aiden: At Target, in the Woody aisle. And he will be fancy too and talk.

Happy Birthday Tommy!
And this will count for photo #7 as I didn't take any pictures today.
Today is my brother's birthday (or was, the day is almost over). Aiden LOVES his uncle Tommy so much! No one else can have his uncle Tommy, not even Sophia when Aiden is around. Here is an older picture of Tommy reading to Sophia and Aiden. We hope you had a great day Tommy!

365 days of pictures: #1-6
I've seen this done on several blogs before, so thought maybe I would give it a try. At first it was easy, but now that I am back to work, not sure how exciting some of the pictures may be. Okay, I said it was easy, but it is already 1.6.09 and I haven't posted any of them yet. Well, here is pictures #1-6.
Picture #1: Long day of playing hard with friends.Burton Christmas; Christmas Day
I know I am doing my blogging backwards, but seems the easiest way to get caught up right now. Crazy I know.
We spent Christmas Eve at The Keller's (Gary, Janet, & Amanda) home. We such wonderful food! Lots of yummy appetizers, finger foods, and wine of course. We had a great time just talking, eating, and opening gifts. I made this horrible salsa cheese bread or something from a beer bread mix I got from Pampered Chef like 5 years ago! I told Shannon to leave it in the car, but he brought it in. Rachelle and John had it on their plates with only one bite taken out of it! I told them not to eat it, it wouldn't hurt my feelings any!! Seriously...it was bad! Janet made this wonderful hot onion dip and I think Rachelle and John had a competition on who made the better pinwheels/tortilla roll-ups.
After opening our gifts and chatting some more, we went to mass. It start at 10pm and ended around 11:15pm. Aiden did wonderful due to how late it was and that he is only 3 years old. St. Peter's has an amazing choir and the service was wonderful. Even during the moment of silence when pretty much the whole church heard Aiden say, "I have to go potty" then everyone heard his little feet run down the center aisle to the back door!
After mass, we went home, put our cookies and milk out for Santa along with some carrots for Rudolph, put our pj's on and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and Aiden went right to sleep. Shannon and I then got to play Santa which was so much fun!
Aiden didn't wake up until about 8am Christmas morning which is unusual for him. We opened more gifts, then went to Rachelle's for lunch with again more yummy food. Here are some pictures to enjoy.
Glenda, Shannon, and Mema - Don't they all 3 look so jolly??!!
Aiden got 2 firetrucks - and loves them both!
Amanda and John involved in an intense game of chess!
Cookies & milk for Santa!
Aiden's favorite gift - a telescope! That is what he wanted the most!!
Santa brought lots of Diego and Cars underwear and band-aids for the stocking!!

Christmas in Iowa and playing in the Snow
Last Friday, we went to Iowa to spend Christmas with my mom, brother, Meghan, Sophia, & Eva and then my mom's side of the family. We left KC around 1:30pm and finally pulled into my mom's driveway at 8:20pm. The drive normally takes 5 hours, since having Aiden it has been extended to about 6 1/2 hours, but we had to drive through some heavy fog which made the trip almost 7 hours. Tommy didn't make it up until Saturday morning because of the fog too, but the poor guy had to drive through freezing rain on Saturday. In the end, we all made it there safe and sound.
We celebrated our immediate family Christmas Saturday morning and grandma again went overboard with the presents. Then we loaded up and went to Alton, Iowa where we had Christmas again with my aunt Edie, uncle Kenny, cousins Angie & Melissa, Melissa's fiance Scott, my grandpa and Alice. There was lots of great food, fun and games. As we were saying our good-byes to everyone Sunday morning, Angie had on an Iowa State t-shirt that had a cyclone on it, but to Aiden it must have looked like a Jayhawk because Aiden says to Angie, "Jayhawks are the bad team, Tigers and Bearcats are the good team!". Kenny then said, "actually any team with the word 'hawk' in it is a bad team". My brother is a huge Hawkeyes fan.
Sunday we went back to my mom's where all Aiden wanted to do was play in the snow and make snow angels. Some of the snow had melted, but there was a pretty good sized snow drift where we went sledding down, had a snowball fight and played "King of the Mountain". Thankfully the temperatures were somewhat warmer, because Aiden wanted to play out there all day. His cheeks were so rosy! Here are some pics to recap our wonderful Christmas in Iowa.

I know I have been so behind in my posting, but December was a busy month. Aiden turned 3, and we had 5 Christmases to attend, so I had little time left for editing pictures and then blogging. So, the next few posts will probably be in reverse order for the month of December. Stay tuned...
Happy New Year!
Can you believe it's 2009? My wish for everyone is to have a peaceful and prosperous year.
We didn't do much yesterday, but did get to visit with some wonderful friends: The Boyle's (Rusty, Sarah, Ella, and Brett) and the The Busby's (Travis, Kristin, Luke and Kate - from Des Moines). I of course forgot my camera, so have no pictures to share.
Last night we watched football and ate our black-eyed peas, so hopefully they will bring us good luck for this upcoming year. Here are some pictures of our exciting evening.
