Hotter Than What??!!

A few weekends ago we were at Home Depot picking out a new over the range microwave as ours finally died on us. While Shannon was waiting for the guy to load it into the cart, Aiden and I went to check out the washers and dryers and refrigerators (my favorite things to look/dream at in Home Depot - I know, I'm a nerd, but I love looking at appliances). As we were checking out the refrigerators, Aiden of course has to open and close every single one of them. Some were plugged in and running, while others were not. So each time, Aiden would say if it was warm or cold. One must not have been turned on in a long time because as Aiden opens the door he says to me:
"This ones warmer than a hot pig on the warm sun!"

WTH??? Seriously, this kid is going to be a comedian someday - he just cracks me up!

**I haven't taken and/or downloaded pictures in while, so none to post with this funny story, sorry.**

Kids Say the Sweetest Things, Right?

So, Shannon has been out of town all week and gets back later this afternoon, thank God! It's only been three days, but feels like three weeks - lots of crazy/scary things going on in my hood! Anyway...back to my story.

Since Shannon has been gone, I let Aiden sleep w/ me Monday and Tuesday night (don't judge me-it made me feel safer. We have had a rape and burglary on my street - all w/in one block of our house in the last 1 1/2 weeks.). So last night right before bath time, Aiden said he his stomach hurt and he got sick right before getting into the bathtub. He even got all his puke in the toilet - what a kid! Aiden then threw up again after the bath (again in the toilet :)). So, he said his tummy hurt and we had Chick-fil-A for dinner, so I figured he had an upset stomach. I didn't have anything to give him, so we headed to Target for some kids' Tums and gas drops. When we got home, I sat him at the kitchen counter on his little step stool while I opened all the packages, and he puked again (not in the toilet this time)! After cleaning everything up, I finally got him to bed, and when I came to bed later in the evening, he had puked in bed. So we got up, changed sheets, went back to bed only to be awoken around 1:30am to him puking in the bed again! Back to the bathroom to get cleaned up (where he puked one more time), change the sheets again, then finally got some sleep.

So, here is the best part! Morning comes and I am trying to go back to sleep after calling in to work and school and Aiden says to me, "Mommy, your breath stinks this morning" as he is covering his mouth! I informed him that it was morning breath, but he was the one with the stinking puke breath! So, we got up and brushed our teeth!!!
