Last Saturday was a fun and busy day! Shannon ran in the Westport St. Patty's Day race for the 2nd year - he did great! The weather last year was so much nicer. This year it was cold, rainy, and windy. Then we raced home, changed our clothes, ate lunch, and headed to Brookside where we marched in their "St. Patty's Day Warm-Up" parade with Aiden's school. It was so much fun waving at people, passing out candy to the kids. Even Poppi went with us!! Aiden did so good giving all the kids some candy, he even gave some to an old man and says to me, "Mom, I gave some to that old man too"!
All the kids watching the parade were collecting candy in bags, buckets, and hats. About 1/2 way through the parade, I watched Aiden take off his hat, pick up the fallen candy from the street, and then put it in his hat!!!! Pretty clever isn't he?! He still made every effort to pass out our candy and never put it in his own hat, what a giving kid huh!! But on the other hand, you know he was thinking, I'm not walking in this whole parade and not get any candy for myself!!!
Then to end the day, we took Mema Glenda out for dinner to Red Robin for her birthday.

Brrr...it's cold out here!
Boy, he sure is mad about something!
Before the parade...
I love these guys!

Just looking for my own candy!
Aiden and his Aunt Rachelle.
On our way home.
